A superior alternative to rubber-bonded wheels

Atlantic ED Bonded Control Wheels

Traditionally control wheels consist of grain held within a rubber matrix. Due to the difficulties of working with rubber, the distribution of grain and bonding in rubber control wheels is often uneven, resulting in a negative influence on the work piece quality, productivity, and the lifetime of the control wheel.

In answer to this problem ATLANTIC has developed the ED bonding system, a multi-ingredient resin-based cold cementing bond. The development of an advanced manufacturing process ensures, that through an intensive mixing of the grain and bonding components combined with a carefully controlled curing procedure an homogeneous structure without air inclusions is produced.

Qualities and sizes

This specially developed technique allows ATLANTIC ED bonded control wheels to be cast in one phase, resulting in excellent distribution of the grain and bonding across the entire width of the wheel.
